Welcome! I’m Abbie, an anti-diet, fat-positive, and weight-inclusive nutritionist. My practice is grounded in a self-compassionate and intuitive approach to helping you heal your relationship with food, movement, and your body.

I believe our lives are meant for so much more than being fixated on food and our bodies.

I work with my clients to redefine what wellness means to them, and to find true well-being through an attuned and connected relationship with food and movement.

Together, we tackle the mental, emotional, and physical components of what it means to have a human body — whether that’s through ditching diet culture, recovering from disordered eating behaviors, healing from chronic dieting, improving body image, or embracing a way of living that is in alignment with your values.

Your body is your home, and this is a journey back to your authenticity, power, and purpose.

You deserve a life beyond body control. You deserve to feel free and at peace.

In this 10-week program, we walk the path towards freedom with food and a compassionate relationship with your body in a small group setting.

Each week is a stepping stone — a gentle exploration in reconnecting with yourself — so that you can find true well-being outside of diet culture and beyond disordered eating.

I believe we heal in community. I believe we find more self-kindness through connection with other. I believe that none of us are meant to do this alone.

This program is a wonderful way to work directly with me, while getting the support of other incredible humans who share your desire to be free of body shame and food guilt. It is also a lower financial commitment than individual sessions.

What former participants are saying …

  • “This program has exceeded my expectations. I have never done anything like this and i wasn't sure that I would be comfortable opening up and sharing with people I'd never met. The assignments, the message board, and the discussions all worked together beautifully to support the lessons given. I felt so supported throughout the process and surprised to relate to people of varying backgrounds who were all feeling similar to me and with similar experiences. I am hoping that the changes that started these past couple of months will continue to grow and will last a lifetime.”

    Cassie G.

  • “This program gave me the tools to heal my body image and real tangible steps to improve my relationship with food. It’s changed the way I think about nourishing myself, and I no longer experience guilt or shame with food. I feel committed to this work now – challenging these deeply ingrained beliefs and creating a better life for myself and for my kids.”

    Kathy R.

  • “I can’t fully express what this group experience has meant to me. It’s given me comfort, validation, and clear steps to take in healing my relationship with my body. I’m forever grateful for Abbie and this community.”

    Laura B.

  • "Abbie is the trifecta of compassion, wisdom, and humor. She holds space for everyone’s unique perspectives, presents nutrition and health science in a way that is so comprehensible, and facilitates group conversations that had a lasting and healing impact on me. I’m so grateful for this program.”

    - Erin M.

  • “I really can’t say enough about how beautifully Abbie manages these group sessions. It takes a special practitioner to balance such a different set of histories and perspectives while maintaining a sense of safety and openness for everyone.”

    - Sofia G.

OTHER WAYS TO WORK WITH ME

1-1 Counseling

These sessions are centered around body image work, intuitive eating, and developing a positive relationship with food and movement. I consider this to be the bravest work we can do for ourselves. This is a safe space for us to explore your history with eating so that we can begin to rebuild trust in your body. Living in a state of anxiety or compulsive need to control and manage your body is exhausting, time-consuming, and ultimately drains you of the energy to fully show up in the world and be the incredible person you are.

Career Coaching (for Non-Diet Professionals)

If you’re a practitioner looking for support as you navigate the anti-diet approach with your clients, I’m here for you. Building community and connection in this space is so important, especially when we’re helping others fight against diet culture. Bring whatever question or obstacle you’re facing in your practice and we can work through it together.
